The photography of your home can take between 1 and 2 hours.  Here are our top tips for being prepared.

Ensuring the space is well cleaned and clutter free so potential buyers can envision themselves in the space.

  1. Turn off all lights and open all the curtains and blinds.
  2. Straighten and align soft furnishings.
  3. Clear clutter from all surfaces, hide boxes under beds etc.

Bathrooms

  1. Arrange toiletries and hang towels neatly, remove bath/shower mats.
  2. Replace the toilet paper roll and put the toilet seat down.
  3. Clean surfaces (mirrors, glass doors, handles, etc.)

Kitchens

  1. Clean work surfaces and hide visible wires.
  2. Display a few top kitchen amenities of your choosing on the work surface like a coffee machine or toaster.
  3. Place all cooking ingredients inside cabinets or on shelves.
  4. Arrange visible objects symmetrically ie. hanging pans, stools etc.

Sitting/Dining Rooms & Study Spaces

  1. Turn off all computer and tv screens and hide visible wires.

Bedrooms

  1. Ensure all beds are made, pillows are fluffed, remove personal items and soft toys. Clear desks from all clutter and display minimal items.
  2. Remove decorative items off beds and any pet accessories.
  3. Remove any phone chargers or cables.
  4. Clear floor space of clothes and shoes and close all wardrobes.

Exteriors

  1. Remove outside furniture covers and pool covers if necessary, add outdoor cushions.
  2. Set up tables, umbrellas & chairs as if they were being used.
  3. Remove cars from the driveway.
  4. Hide any unwanted objects ie garden hose, toys, tools.
  5. If possible conceal bins in the garage or at the side of the property.
  6. Tidy up any decorations or plants near the front door.
  7. Remove seasonal decorations.
